Changing ZAC components on the fly
I believe the system used to allow changing ZAC components by using the ZAC browser. Now, when I ctrl-right-click on a ZAC component and select "Properties", a ZAC Browser-like window opens (and has the word "Modify" in the lower left corner), but all options to modify the component are greyed-out.
Is there an easy way to change or modify an already-placed ZAC component?

Hi
use the Object Inspector...
high light the ZAC object and see attached JPG when you click on the ... you get an explorer window of the folder the ZAC object is in, from there you can navigate around and find a new object

Hey Nigel, here a better question:
Since we have the "Object Inspector", then why we still have the property box since that is not working anymore? There are other quarks within Spirit that I hope STI will address it in v. 2009.

Hi Chris
Nigel is correct in using the Object Inspector instead, but you can still use the old browser window if you like. After you Crl + Right click on the component and select Properties, select Modify from the menu navigator. Now all options in the Browser dialog are accessible. There used to be 2 buttons at the head of the dialog for Select and Modify which were removed for who knows what reason.
Walter I believe the dialog still exists due to the fact that it is still used for the filtering of components from within the Object Inspector.

Thanks all.
Gary- the step I wasn't doing was selecting "Modify" from the menu navigator- that activates the Modify window. Thanks. (Personally I think "they" should return the 2 Select and Modify buttons within the Modify window).
It seems that the Modify popup window just has an easier feel for modifying ZAC components than the Object Inspector. Maybe I'm just more used to using it the old way.
